This Is It! BBQ and Seafood prides itself on being one of the city’s largest Social Enterprise restaurant groups. What this means is that our company, although in ‘business’, has the added priority of achieving a social purpose. Our business model works to employ individuals from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds, help second chance employees, and combat homelessness and other social issues.

This year, in response to the tragedy in Haiti, This Is It, BBQ and Seafood launched a Help for Haiti campaign at all six corporate stores and our customers really stepped up to the plate! Executive Director of Marketing, Lisa Campbell says “We cut a slot in the globes ‘at Haiti’ and customers were able to visually see the relative close proximity of Haiti to themselves. It literally brought the smallness of the world – home.”
